Vive La Tarte will open its third San Francisco location next week at 4026 24th Street in Noe Valley and, as I learned at this morning’s preview, will also open their long-awaited first location in Southern California soon!

The family-owned business from self-taught baker Julie Vandermeersch and her husband Arnaud Goethals will open a cafe in Silver Lake at 3515 W. Sunset Blvd. in March.

So you see how wonderfully my morning began — when they’re open, Vive La Tarte will serve a full menu of savory and sweet bites, including a new breakfast dish that’s exclusive to the Noe Valley location: pan-crepes, a hybrid of pancakes and crepes served with pure date syrup and whipped cream and optional brûléed banana.

There’s also salads, sandwiches and (yes, don’t panic) avocado toast, plus an intriguing-sounding SF Cheesecake with a speculoos crust. Yep, will be back!
