Your Personal Guide to SF Street Food Fest

I have a strong feeling that this year’s 10th anniversary edition of San Francisco Street Food Festival on October 12 is going to be the best yet for La Cocina. I got very emotional when I attended their preview party when really feeling the weight of the impact of what they’ve accomplished in the past 10 years that I’ve been following and writing about their entrepreneurs, which are largely made up of immigrant women of color. Have you seen their beautiful cookbook yet?

You may not get as teary as I did if you attend the event (tickets start at just $5), but you will be so happy you made the decision to go. This year, they’re revisiting their greatest hits as far as food concepts go, including a night market, fried chicken bucket bar, a La Cocina marketplace and a BBQ pitmaster area.
